affairs and strives for modernization of health care

Er. Y.K. Joshi
A civil engineer by profession, Mr. Joshi looked after
some of the major historical edifices of Shimla and
was assigned to undertake the restoration of Gaiety
Theatre, a heritage landmark which was built in 1887
and partly demolished in 1911. It served as the original
town hall for the summer capital of India where Rudyard
Kipling, the English author staged plays. He is a
former honorary secretary of the Himachal Boxing Association
and Class I referee on the panel of Rink Official
Commission of India, an affiliated body of the Indian
Amateur Boxing Federation. Mr. Joshi has a keen interest
in Indian Philosophy. He serves on the Board of Trustees
of Indus Medical Foundation as its Executive Secretary
as well as the administrator of Indus Hospital. |
