RURAL HEALTH CARE

Indus Hospital is committed to upgrade the delivery of health care to the poor who live in far-off villages of Himachal Pradesh. Towards this end, the Hospital, of its own initiative, has conducted nearly sixty (60) rural health camps covering seven out of twelve districts of the State. The program consists of free medical, surgical, gynecological, pediatric, dental and eye check-ups by specialists; simple laboratory tests and ECG etc.,(whenever indicated). The entire cost of boarding, lodging, remuneration and transportation of the medical and paramedical staff on such tours is borne by the Hospital. Starter packages of free medicines are distributed to all patients, despite financial constraints and limited resources of the Hospital. Patients seen in health camps are followed free of cost at the Indus Hospital Out – Patients Department.
