completed reimbursement forms along with supporting
documents must be submitted at the Reception Desk located
on the ground floor. The documents are verified , stamped
and initialed by a member of the assigned staff before
they are presented to the physician in-charge for final
certification. Prescriptions filled through Indus Pharmacy
are cleared on priority basis. In view of the difficulties
encountered in cross-checking , purchases made from
outside chemist shops may delay the verification process
and cause needless inconvenience to the patient. Documents
once verified may not be used for reimbursement again.
It is recommended that you retain a photocopy of the
discharge summary and out-patient ticket for your permanent
records. Rates of reimbursement approved by the empanelled
organization may differ from the rates charged by Indus
Hospital.
Reimbursement forms of
the government employees, once certified by Indus Hospital,
need not be sent for counter signature of a Government
Medical Officer because such a practice, prevalent among
some of the Drawing and Disbursing Officers, does not
find mention in the Gazette Notification, copies of
which are available from the Hospital Administration
upon request. Please remember that government employees
are eligible for medical reimbursement even if they
have not been referred to Indus Hospital by any government
physician / hospital.
