FOOD SERVICES
Fresh
vegetarian food is served hot to the patients as prescribed
by their physicians. Ordinarily, there is no provision
to serve meat, poultry or fish. However, in exceptional
cases, non-vegetarian food may be served upon special
request. Please be advised that Hospital food is intentionally
prepared without too much spices / oil / salt. Individual
tastes vary so much that it is impossible to provide
what each one of you may be accustomed to eating at
your home. However, Hospital Food Service will do
its best to accommodate your requests, if any.
The Hospital Food Service provides Aqua-filtered
drinking water on bed side. Please do not drink water
from toilet faucets.
Regular Food Service Menu reflects affordability
by a majority of patients patronizing Indus Hospital.
Certain special items, not ordinarily included in
the patients' menu, may be ordered as extra by the
well-to-do. Special food items ordered as extra are
not exchangeable with regular menu items. Please discuss
with the Nurse in-charge / Hospital Manager who will
look into your special requirements or dietary complaints,
if any.

must make use of the Hospital cafeteria.
Feeding assistance is provided to all patients if
they are unable to eat / drink by themselves.

any fruits / food items from outside. Physician in-charge
must document such authorization in the file of the
patient. The Hospital will not be liable for any adverse
health effects suffered by the patient as a result
of consuming food / beverages prepared elsewhere .

diagnostic tests or procedures are generally advised
not to eat / drink anything for at least eight (8)
hours prior to such procedures. No charges are levied
by the food service for the days you fast in the Hospital.
