OF MEDICINE
The Department includes General Internal Medicine, Cardiology,
Pulmonary Medicine, Gastroenterology,Rheumatology, Venereology
. Emphasis is laid on the practice of scientific, evidence
based medicine to corroborate the clinical diagnosis
before prescribing definitive treatment. Generally,
the Department of Medicine handles the most difficult
and advanced cases from wide areas which have defied
accurate diagnosis or effective treatment elsewhere.
Out-patient management is carried out whenever feasible
and hospitalization is reduced to the minimum possible
period of time to ensure cost effectiveness . Patient
compliance and response to treatment are ensured by
periodic out-patient follow-up in a timely manner .
