| ADMISSION
PROCEDURES
[I]
Prior to hospitalization your physician is expected
to explain to you / your attendant, the provisional
diagnosis, proposed line of investigations and treatment,
approximate length of stay and reasons for admission
to the Hospital. Should he / she forget to explain
or you fail to understand, do not hesitate to ask
again. Questions pertaining to these topics should
not be addressed to the Hospital Staff other than
the senior physician who is responsible for admitting
you to the Hospital. Information provided by the paramedical
/ junior staff may be misleading or incomplete at
the best. Although, Indus will do its utmost to achieve
the best outcome in each case, no guarantees, whatsoever,
are given or intended with respect to any treatment
/ test / procedure rendered at the Hospital.
[II] Cost estimates
are available during the normal working hours of the
Hospital from the Business Office located on the Ground
Floor. You / your attendant should contact the Business
/ Accounting office for all questions related to financial
matters prior to hospitalization or as soon as possible
thereafter, in case of emergency admission. Your physician
is not qualified to answer questions pertaining to
financial matters. Please remember that all cost estimates
are approximations at their best and are based upon
previous experience of the Hospital and information
provided by your admitting physician. Actual expenses
may vary, depending upon the length of stay, change
of treatment plans, additional investigations, etc.
Also, Hospital rates reflect the Standards of Care
at Indus which insists upon evidence based scientific
practice of medicine for confirmation and documentation
of diagnosis, as far as possible, through laboratory
investigations, since provisional diagnosis, based
on subjective observation alone, may be in error.
Costs are significantly lower than those of the comparable
modern health care institutions elsewhere, but higher
than the rates charged by institutions funded / subsidized
by the Government / Non-Governmental Organizations.
[III] After
admissions, patients are advised not to keep any cash,
valuables or jewellery with them . All such items
must be given to their relatives or handed over to
the Nurse in-charge / Business Office for safe custody.

if the said guidelines are violated by the patients.

/ incompetent patients at Indus Hospital on the part
of their relatives / attendants is strictly prohibited.

release the Hospital from any liability claims.
[VII] Patients scheduled for major surgery under
general/spinal anaesthesia are required to be cleared
for such surgery by the medical service in advance.
In certain doubtful situations or upon patient's request,

and in the interest of better patient care, may decide
to seek such opinion himself.

stay in the general wards with the exception of visiting
